The Things She Does
When I see her,
My soul smiles
When I feel her presence,
my lips become upturned
When I hear her voice,
All my worries go away.
I want to protect her
I want to forever remember her smile,
the sound of her laugh,
the twinkle in her eyes
I want to push her away
because she does things to me
But I want her to stay.
When I see her cry,
my heart breaks in two
When I see her frown,
I want to hold her tight
When her hand brushes against mine,
my pulse quickens and my heart gasps for oxygen
I want to hold her,
kiss her
and tell her it’s all ok.
But I don’t know how.
I want to push her away
because she does things to me
But I want her to stay.
When I think I have a chance at loving her,
the world laughs
at me.
But i love her anyways.
