For Peace We Strive
Why we fight, I do not know
Nothing we gain, it goes to show
We bicker and argue, ‘till we are sore
All the while, our bravest go to war
Tomorrow will just fight the next battle
  Herded like aimless cattle
For our country, we shed blood
While our forgotten crawl in the mud
Yet still we dispute, no end in sight
Maybe one day, our children won’t have to fight
They can live in the peace we made
And the unity which we laid
“You may say I’m a dreamer”
  Although, I prefer redeemer
I’m just imagining what could be
If we worked together, you and me
Imagine earth as one unified place
No fear of strife we face
It’s not too hard, if you try
No more will we give a battle cry
Still, some are too slow to see it
They watch the roaring fire they lit
I’m not sure what they see
But it’s not somewhere I want to be
I just can’t understand why it goes on
Why can’t we just pick brains of Braun?
What can we do to stop all of this?
And to live in our own peaceful bliss
  Tomorrow when the sun rises
Maybe we’ll be greeted by new surprises
But if we don’t act soon
  Easy peace we’ll never attune
I know we have all of our sins
But forget them as this new era begins
Just for now, while we fight
Ironically, yes, to see the light
  Somewhere, beyond our own imagination
We’ll find our good half with proper navigation
  Sail with the setting sun
And remember I’ll that we’ve done
Peace, yes, I see it now
  Maybe we can remember how
I guess it’s just been out of sight
Now I finally see the light
