Deafening when I’m with friends
Hushed when I’m with strangers.
Towering when I soar through all the trees.
Restricted when I land among the cattails and dandelions.
Formulated when I do work.
Sloppy when I write.
Soothing when I am with kids.
Alert when I see a rival.
I am a songbird.
