This poem was meant to describe a rather negative outlook on the cycle of life and how futile every really is. Although we are aware that an end is technically the start of a new chapter, that does not make things any better at that moment. We're still wouldn't anticipate or embrace it.
*This poem is almost identical to another one I've posted. My goal was showing how a small change in words and minor differences in the sentence structure can completely change the overall meaning and influence the way one perceives things! This was supposed to be the more 'pessimistic' version, if you will...
