Half Marathon
Walking to the start
Nervousness in my heart, boom
Nervousness departs
Running and relaxed
Running around the big track
Leaving my small tracks
Laces untying
Braces unwrapping on legs
Paces unfolding
Finally, turn around
Mile 6.6 feeling crowned
I can't back down now
Mile 12 almost there
Meanwhile, my legs are burning
Denial of the end
Seeing the finish
Tiredness finally diminishes
I finally finished

I ran a half marathon and wanted to write some poetry about it.
