A dirt lot out back,
Old trash can as first base,
An old wore out ball.

Hitting the ball hard,
Rabbits run across the field,
Dirt in my face.

The day passes fast,
Sun begins to set,
We all race home.

Very nice poem, although I'm from Texas and grew up there. Never did things like this or knew anyone that did, although it may have been the part of Texas I was in. Are you from Texas or just imagining? :)
