And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt. ~Sylvia Plath

Faceless. Yet they still
Scream, the graphics cannot fill
The space where they stood,
The screen a portal
To a world where running over
Bodies buys you ammo,
Death's a game that can
be beaten, its brought down by
just a virtual gun,
So untouchable,
Man creates soldier just to,
die. Sound familiar?
Is it just a game?
Where does the screen end
Because I still hear screams
That graphics cannot
Hide. Silhouettes, faceless, run,
The games have begun.

I've always found something quite macabre about this game, maybe that's because no matter how much I practice I still suck at it, or maybe I find it slightly creepy that so many people fantasise about war and killing that they can spend hours playing the game. It demeans death, and in the process, makes life seem emptier, less important.
