In the last line, I intended to convey the frustration of forgetting something. Thanks for letting me know that it didn't make sense (and I really mean that) because sometimes I get ahead of myself, thinking it makes sense, only to discover that nobody else gets it. So thank you. :)

Good job on capturing forgetfulness here. However, I think I don't understand the last line and how rot relates to the rest of the haiku. I think you could possibly change it to something different to keep it in tune with the rest of the haiku.
