And if not now, when?

Fly
Spread your wings in the air
Jump like you're free
Cause nobody's there

You're all on your own
Out in the night
Leap in the stars
Dance in the light
Take off running
It doesn't matter where
So long as its anywhere
Miles away from here

Soar in the air
Lifted by glee
Oh how I wish I were you
And you become me
Glued to the ground
While longing to fly free
Never much fun, you see?

To be so far above the earth
No safety nets, snares, or wires
Just the desire to wing it
Spiraling higher and higher

While I wish I were you
Gliding and free
I know in my heart
That the ground is for me
To change and wear down
To travel the same paths
Around and around
Though my feet are strapped down
Confined to planet Earth
In my mind a new me
With wings to fly
Has just given birth.

I wrote this sitting outside on my roof in a clear deep night. I've always wanted to fly :)
