A Day Spent well
I bury my feet in the sand
A miniscule sea shell in my hand
A crab skitters across the way
As waves gently lap the bay
I catch a whiff of sunscreen in the breeze
A sense of shade without any trees
My eyes squint at the sweltering sun
While children’s laughter express their fun
A new days memory for each
As we all spend our day at the beach
