So we can still say this and thus
About what we deserve
But we didn’t serve
Like when they fought and died for us

With Veterans day approaching, I decided I should submit this one. Not that good, I think, but at least it is something for the vet who are alive- unlike my grandfather. Hopefully it will get accepted in time.

Thanks.  This is the best Limerick I ever wrote, so it's the only one I got published.  I'm not really good at long stuff.
