A Dream is A Witch
September 26, 2009
A dream is a witch
for heartaches
when you think that
they’ll come true.
A dream splits your soul
like earthquakes—
it’ll slowly
attach itself to you.
A dream is a slow
concerto
that makes the
violinist weep.
A dream is what makes
the tears flow
when your heart
just has nothing it can keep.
A dream will kill
aspiration
when you find
that it has come over you.
A dream’s goal is
laceration
of your heart when
it is through.
A dream is a witch
for heartaches,
but maybe dreams are part of
life’s debut.
Heartache truly is
what love makes
When love is
loved by you.

Thanks so much! I didn't think it was that good, but I guess some people like it. You can check out some of my other works if you want to see more, like Found in the Dark and The Twisted Life of a Girl Flower, and soon a new poem called Clarify, which is still being approved. Thanks for the comment! I was basing it off of Cinderella's "A Dream is a Wish you Heart Makes." We're playing part of that in a Disney medley in my orchestra class, and I couldn't get it out of my head, so I thought up different lyrics. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like it...I play the violin too.....so I thought that was a little funny...but I really like it :D
