I Don't Know
I don’t know where you’re goin’,
But it seems far from me
It’s been so long since I’ve tasted security.
There’s always a tropical storm somewhere in paradise.
I’ve held on too tight,
Now I’ve been placed on an unscheduled flight.
I don’t know where I’m goin’
But I know it’s far from you.
Now I’m just as confused as you are,
Believe me.
I’ve subconsciously thought this through.
They’ve always said the past is the past, the present is the present.
And the future, well who the heck really knows?
Now tell me, what happens,
When your past comes back and presents itself to your future?
This is all confusing, believe me.
Tell me what to do,
Tell me what to say.
I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,
But I lied.
I wish we could have been again,
And I’m ashamed that I even tried.
You said, “Try liking someone else.”
And there you go, sorry, but it just didn’t work.
I know where I’m goin’
And it seems far from me.
