Shadow
I’m a shadow
A feeble echo
of the girl I used to be
She haunts a secret past world
For lost souls like me
I’m drowning in the memory
Of your crooked smile
Reflected in an open locket
Sunflower seeds
trailing out of our pockets
Back to the sun soaked days
Love was the only answer
Better than this world
Full of ghosts and empty whispers
I’m stuck in the in-between
someone swallowed the key
everyone is moving forward
everyone but me
I’m a shadow
I’m a shadow
locked in sentimental hell
I want no more, let me out
of this prison cell
No more shadow
No more echo
Dance into the sunset, sing with the wind
Ready for a new chapter, let the new life begin
