The UnBreakable, Broken
Behind this girl so strong,
Lies the stupid boy, who did her wrong,
Her head whispered to her heart, “Get ready to shatter”,
She might as well have asked for her heart on a platter,
Her head told her what to do, as if it knew!
It didn’t know the vapid things he would do,
He glistened like a knight in shining armor,
He was just some nerd in aluminum foil,
He’s a fake and cheap, attempts poor,
His pathetic excuse, far from royal,
No one knew how little it would take,
Take him away her heart will break,
She fell to the ground engulfed by heartache,
Still she goes on, this girl “so strong”,
Broken inside, but wont let it on,
No one sees through her fake smile plastered on the outside,
Because she is silently crying deep down on the inside,
Her heart-wrenching pain is left unknown,
Sorrowful tears left un-shown,
Everybody naïvely passes her by,
Undeniably easy to fathom this lie,
Even she, the girl who never gave up,
Buried her face in her hands,
Whispered, “I can’t do this anymore”,
Then ran out the door,
Just when she thought nothing good was going to happen,
Only what she could imagine,
He walked into her life brightening her life with out a doubt,
Unexpectedly when she thought life couldn’t get better,
He turned around and walked back out,
So she is encased in this empty shell,
Her own personal hell,
A girl one so strong, beaten down, worn,
Echoing her endless cries, broken and forlorn.
