Who Listens
find the shaft of yellow
within the crusted cracks,
tremble at the sound of wind-swept bells
chime in unison but i fail to do so
lying there, my head against the dust
who cares who listens
my downfall is my freefall
the falling down will turnaround
and
who cares who listens
the waterfall of tears
will wash away those years
my mind will stay intact
a jumbled mix of words
resonate deep in her bones
strained by the simple strings that hold them
it is not a game, not a poker match
let's ramble on, my ears welcome the noise
who cares who listens
my downfall is my freefall
the falling down will turnaround
and
who cares who listens
the waterfall of tears
will wash away those years
my mind will stay intact
coldness brewing
in this little town (little town)
i am pursing
the end of this ground (this ground)
no end exists, yet i will persist
then i look towards the sky
who cares who listens
who cares who listens
i care who listens
she's closer now
let's all freefall.
