Things I've Heard
I hear they fly in tubes of metal,
I hear they fight to destroy.
I hear they cook upon a kettle,
I rode a bike as a boy.
I hear they speak in different tongues,
I hear they like to dance.
I hear they bang upon their drums,
He crashed in a field of ants.
I hear they laugh at words unsaid,
I hear they sing their songs.
I hear they sleep upon their beds,
He peddled right along.
I hear they buy things, if they can,
I hear they kill the bad.
I hear they care, and work, and plan,
I've always wished I had.
