Half-heartedly

I am seeing everything,
I knew well yesterday,
Through a different way.

Quietly, and timidly,
I reminisce,
Everything I miss.

Because when everything’s perfect,
You’ll never expect,
The one you trust most, to neglect,

Everything that used to be,
Everything that I have learned,
And I’ll forever yearn,

But it’s perished,
So cherish,

That I will carry on,
With nothing half-heartedly,
Cause every action has helped me see.

Life will go on,
Just hanging on casually,
No one will remember what I did so naively.

No one will let a tear fall,
From their solemn eyes,
And baby, please look now, we’re the only ones who’ll cry!

But it’s perished,
So cherish,

That I will carry on,
With nothing half-heartedly,
Cause ever action has helped me see.

There’s only a,
50-50 chance,
That we can once more dance.

But I don’t care how long it will take,
And I am not one to sit back and let fate go,

But every chance is complete,

Is anything but half-heartedly.
