Midnight Moonlight
Not the first time, not the last
 I started running far, fast
into the midnight moonlight (midnight moonlight)
I've been stripped to the bare bone
 my Achille's heel is shown
in the outright, broad daylight (outright, broad daylight)

 tear-streaked cheeks, i feel weak
solemn sentence to ball and chain
hold my breath, with nothing left
 but the feelings still remain
you hold my hand, we take a stand
 I demand for awakened grace
at the thumb of nervous numb
I must fight the problems I face
 not alone, I'm not alone

 chorus:
my heart lays on the floor
confess the things I've never said before
 behold, this time gleams gold
I love that we can bond
 scratch the surface, delve beyond
to what is real, our words feel real
 together, we heal

not the first time, not the last
that I trust you with my past
in the midnight moonlight (midnight moonlight)
with the weakness, I learn strength
you support me at any length
it is alright, that we cry (it is alright)
