You left us so young
Before we even knew
A pain I didn't understand
And never wanted to
My little sister
I'd teach you so much
Like how to pick on mom
And take a punch
I waited and waited
For you to arrive
But never did I think
my first hello
Would be my last goodbye
But on a sunny day
The pain goes away
And it's all gone
But not for long
only on a sunny day
I was only eight
When i said goodbye
But maybe we'll meet
At another place
At another time
On a sunny day
Where it never rains
Where there's no heartache
and no more pain
Maybe we'll get to meet
In this heavenly place
And maybe I'll finaly get to see a smile
On your face
But untill then
I'll pray for a sunny day

its very hard to write poetry about serious issues such as this. its a very deep heartfelt poem and i like it alot. sorry 4 your loss

awwww well my favorite part was the second stanza but the whole poem in general was really touching...i really like this...and ps whose shelly?
Alot of people have helped me along since that day and I thank each one of you. Especially mom, dad, Jake, mamaw and papaw. And thank you Shelby for encouraging me to post this song.
