He who burns books only denies himself a new point of view, making himself that much more nearsighted of the truth.

Birds chirpin outside are so sweet
The punching of my keys provides the beat
Some crickets on the inside of my head play violins
This is what I dread
I see a black cat on the side of the railroad tracks
And a girl that never will come back
Blows a kiss from her to me
She says, “I’m headin to Cali”
So in one split second I jumped onto that train
Kissed her in that cold and icy rain
And all I could say was
“I guess I am going to Cali too”
