Anxious eyes wander about
Time drains from the world
Hope starts to uncurl
Shadowed eyes start to uncover
Thrashing, crashing, roll of thunder
As our dreams start to plunder
Why would they shun her?
Drip, Drop from the spicket
Hope you have a two-way ticket
Our people start to picket
Turning to a country bigot
They tell her that she's got to pay
Not caring what she has to say
It's only going to be their way
On the hard-packed earth she will lay
