Thinking of You
I’m so much more than meets the eye
How could you have said goodbye?
 I don’t understand
I thought you were my promised land
 Just tell me why

I cannot bear to be apart
How’d you leave knowing you broke my heart?
Now you and I are no longer
And just when I’d thought we’d never been stronger
 You said goodbye

There are plenty of fish in the sea
But I’d hoped you were the one for me
I’d cherished our love, now all is lost
I’d erase our goodbyes at any cost
 But I can’t live a lie

You never were one to linger
You had me wrapped around your finger
I’ll do my best not to cry
At least I can promise to try
Though I fear my heart has died

Whether good or bad I don’t yet know
I can’t believe I let you go [OR] I have never felt so low (please help me decide this!)
 Now that we don’t exist
You can’t tempt me with one last kiss
‘Cause now there’s no such thing as you and I

How’d you give up something we never really tried?
 Just tell me why
 You said goodbye
 But I can’t live a lie
Though I fear my heart has died
‘Cause now there’s no such thing as you and I
So I blink back my tears while staring at the sky
Realizing you'll forever and always be in my mind
