Live like you're at the bottom even when you're at the top.

The day is over now and I can’t see the sun
Cause there’s a moon on the rise right now
The stars shine down so you can see what you lost
Isn’t it cruel when the light is so bright even when you close your eyes?

So how will you sleep tonight
When someone else got what you want
How will you sleep tonight
When you can’t even touch it no, when you can’t have it
So when you fall asleep tonight
I will be right there where you are
I’m gonna hold you through the night
So you can fall asleep tonight somehow

You open up your eyes after the sleepless night
Cause you did think it was a dream didn’t you?
Well sometimes the reality might be harder than it seems
Just take a little distance and you’ll see it’s not

So how will you sleep tonight
When someone else got what you want
How will you sleep tonight
When you can’t even touch it no, when you can’t have it
So when you fall asleep tonight
I will be right there where you are
I’m gonna hold you through the night
So you can fall asleep tonight somehow

Believe me or not but I know you’re the best
In your unusual way
But how will you sleep tonight
Tell me baby how

So how will you sleep tonight
When someone else got what you want
How will you sleep tonight
When you can’t even touch it no, when you can’t have it
So when you fall asleep tonight
I will be right there where you are
I’m gonna hold you through the night
So you can fall asleep tonight somehow

I wrote this song for myself actually :) One day I was feeling so low because I felt like it was another time I didn't get what I wanted, what I fought for. That's the song I wrote about this moment when you feel like everything's falling apart for you but somehow you just have to fall asleep and wake up the next day, because show must go on.
