Shipwrecked
You've got a grip on my wheel,
And I'm starting to see the effects.
Controlling every piece of me,
Forcing me to do things I'd never dream of.
I'm scared to see where this will go.
Will I do as you wish?
Or can I get away before it's too late?
Everything that's said and done
Makes me unsure of who I really am.
The rain can fall,
But you'll still see my tears.
The thunder can rumble,
But you'll still hear my cries.
I'm lost at sea,
With no hopes of being found.
There's no one around but you.
This lightning is bright,
And I can no longer see.
We're gonna crash soon.
My heart will be shipwrecked.
I need a cleansing of everything in my life,
A way to remove you.
Gone, without a trace.
I can't live with a captain always giving orders.
I've gone off course,
But it's all because of you.
There's got to be a way to be my own master.
But for now, I'll give in.
I'll sail in your direction.
