Golden grass
Cloudy sky
It's cold outside
but it's the middle of July
And I like the way
it looks today
'cause I hardly ever see
summer rain

Raindrops fall
on my face
I walk along
and let my heart just sing away
And I like the way
it looks today
'cause I hardly ever see
summer rain

And it's beautiful and quiet
The world seems fresh and new
And I'm enjoying every moment
knowing that the sun will come out shining soon

Scorching heat
usually burns my feet
it's hard to live
when it's 100 plus degrees
all the time
but right now my life
has summer rain
Summer rain
Summer rain
All around
Falls to the ground

Summer rain

It has a very fresh feel to it. :) In my opinion, song writing is very difficult because you can't write lyrics without music and you can't write music without lyrics! Great job!

I really like this poem... It reminds me of something  I wrote, so it was very relatable to me... nice job... very refreshing! I'd appreciate if you would look at my poems, "Fireflies and Stars" and "Lord, You are my Comfort?"

This poem has a really nice flow to it. I also especially like the end "Summer rain

Summer rain

All around

Falls to the ground

Summer rain"

I like the rhythm of this poem. Some parts of it were kind of strange but overall it was good. I love the sense of touch you incoroporated.

I really like this. I'm a fan of summer rain because even though it can be depressing, it also provides an excuse to stay in and work on my writing! :)

I too love summer rain, but I have to repeat what I said about the chess song. Be careful with the music. Other than that, though, all I can really say is great job!

I really like the repetition of summer rain throughout the entire piece! And I like that it's short and simple, not all wordy!(:
