One, Two, Three
One swollen eye
Two broken ribs
Three slices to the heart
One external gash
Two shattered bones
Three hits from the start
Can you not see that she’s had it?
Can you not comprehend that she’s done?
Just walk away and leave her be
Is this what you consider fun?
Does it make you feel better
When you shove her to the ground
Or slap her across her pretty little face
And she doesn’t even make a sound
Do you feel any stronger
When you throw her across the room
When is enough, enough for you?
Your answer is always “soon”
Can you not see that she loves you?
Can you even understand why?
She wants to be loved herself.
Let her go and watch her fly
Before everything inside of her dies
Does it make you feel better
When you shove her to the ground
Or slap her across her pretty little face
And she doesn’t even make a sound
Do you feel any stronger
When you throw her across the room
When is enough?
When is enough, enough for you?
Your answer is always “soon”
You don’t understand
I would treat her right
I would love her like she’s never been loved
Girl, take my hand and let’s leave tonight
Shut your eyes
Count to three and run away with me
One careful kiss
Two colliding hearts
Three sighs of perfect bliss
One
Two
Three…
