Wake Up
Quietly you creep
Into your wildest dreams
Fantasies unfurl their tenuous wings
And you sink into a slumber
Wake up, you’re dreaming into flames
Wake up, your dreams can always become too real
But then you find and you feel
You can’t wake up in time
Or run from the lurking thoughts
Which plague your battered mind
Not everything you once thought,
Would make you happy can
The dreams of him in your arms
Those dreams left you d.am.ne.d!
Wake Up, breathe again
Wake Up, don’t let this be the end
Your fantasies of sabotage
Only left you scarred
Your fantasies of make-believe
Are becoming your fading star!
Be wary of the genies
In every wishing glass
Be careful of the hopes you had
Those hopes they never last
Wake Up, open your eyes
Wake Up, don’t let the dark inside
You have the strength in your Lion Heart
You have the promise to
Break free from the chains
The chains which are bound to you!
Did no one mention it’s not easy?
To lay your dreams aside
But if you let it consume you
The dream will leave you to die
Wake Up, the dream was a lie
Wake up, don’t make us say goodbye
The dream which was a promise then
Was a nightmare the whole time
Its trickery disguised itself
You missed every sign
Wake Up
