Forgetting
Longest lesson I never learned
Blinded unwilling to be tough
Wanting and waiting to be something worth earning
Only one trying and tried all too much
The last times the last time
You've spent your chances
Never proved to be worth fighting for
You tried cause you loved me
But still wouldn't trust me
I always wanted you more
So I'll sit in my car in a parking lot
Singing songs of what you were not
Hold my breath if I start to tear
Alone and wont wish you were here
I'll still feel the sting when I hear your name
I'll rise above and make beauty from pain
"Love isn't enough", you said without seeing
The way my words covered a deeper meaning
Memories black, I'll just use them for missing
The way that we were, you'll go on forgetting
Time will harden your impression
Space will crack it's hold on me
Wanted the world, you gave a globe keychain
Lifespan of an autumn leaf
Happenings happen
You'll hold your grudges
February counted up ticking time
Mistakes are mistaken
You're stuck repeating
Selfish hearts can ruin lives
So I'll sit in my car in a parking lot
Singing songs of what you were not
Hold my breath if I start to tear
Alone and wont wish you were here
I'll still feel the sting when I hear your name
I'll rise above and make beauty from pain
"Love isn't enough", you said without seeing
The way my words covered a deeper meaning
Memories black, I'll just use them for missing
The way that we were, you'll go on forgetting
Gone are all our moments
The few you left behind
Would have had a million more
Wasted time runs on changed minds
And you'll go on forgetting
Am I easy forgetting?
Now I know what regret means
Don't look now
So I'll sit in my car in a parking lot
Singing songs of what you were not
Hold my breath if I start to tear
Alone and wont wish you were here
I'll still feel the sting when I hear your name
I'll rise above and make beauty from pain
"Love isn't enough", you said without seeing
The way my words covered a deeper meaning
Memories black, I'll just use them for missing
The way that we were, I will soon be forgetting
