It's as if time goes by,
whizzing people quickly along,
we barely have time to say hi,
before that person's gone.

You look back on things,
you wish you could have said,
now she has wings,
and a halo over-head.

Friends are meant to last forever,
but some are taken too soon,
I never will ever forget her,
I'll remember when I look to the moon.

~In loving memory of Kate S~

Katie is my friend, a girl who was a senior when I was in 8th grade, and she was like my older sister giving me advice, making me laugh, and helping me up when I fell down. She was killed in a car accident yesterday. I've lost a friend, and a sister. She was 19.

To Kate, my silly, loving, beautiful friend, I miss you ? You were like that older sister, giving me advice to not have people get me down, you made me laugh and smile, and you gave me strength, you gave me laughter, and I love talking to you about the dumbest craziest stuff, what books to read, what ones were dumb and I'll never forget any of it, you'll always be with me. I love you ? See you soon hun.

This is a really touching poem. it flows wonderfully
