Never Ending
She's all alone in a room full of people
She can't hear them calling, texting
 She only hears their swearing
 Their never ending swearing

 When silence burns her throat
She can't sing, she can't even croak
All that comes out doesn't sound right
It strangles her neck and holds her tight
Her hands grasp as her lungs gasp
She's still lookin for a way out of this one

Work piles up around her arms
And still she writes these songs, these songs
 Her bags hold pictures
That she draws in a day lived sleep
 She tries to wake up
But finds the climb too steep
 People can't look at her
And see what she feels inside
So she tries to show them,
 She doesn't try to hide
 It doesn't work
No one can see real hurt
 Not till it's too late

She's all alone in a room full of people
She can't hear them calling, texting
 She only hears their swearing
 Their never ending swearing

 Sometimes they try to listen
But they still don't get it
You can't feel someone's feel by hearing it
So she cries, she always cries
It's what happens when lies are truths
 Truths are lies

 She plays with yellowcards
Holding them close to her heart
Cuz music is all she has sometimes
 When His shoulder's invisible
All she's got is her songs, her rhymes
She knows He helps and listens though
 So she's always got somethin
 There's always somethin

She's all alone in a room full of people
She can't hear them calling, texting
 She only hears their swearing
 Their never ending swearing
 As He watches, staring
She should say something, she knows
But her words, her voice won't go
 So...
She's only got her songs, her knees, and her prayers
To hold her head high in the air
She's tryin so hard to make it there
"Please" she asks Him, "please answer this prayer."

 She asks him every time
 And every time she feels
 That it will be alright
At least for a short time
She can wait for that time
