Can You Blame Me?
Can you blame me?
If you were walking in my shoes,
Would you want to know yourself?
You'd run and hide from the truth.
Because its seeping from the ground;
Chasing after you.
Would you be honest with yourself,
Or would you make up lie after lie?
Convincing yourself that you'll be alright?
Trust me,you would.
After all,who would want seek
All the things that are wrong with me?
What you say can't hurt me now.
'Cause chances are I've already pointed it out.
Join the crowd that's waiting for me to fall.
Or maybe jump instead;
Because I'm not that tall.
I'm begging you to shake me awake.
Gather up all my faults
And just take them away.
Drown them in something pretty and pure,
Where no one would ever think to look.
Look in my eyes, Blue like the sky.
They're a pool of my indecencies.
Asking you to take a leap.
Go on and jump in,Take a swim.
Put your two cents in,
And cause them to flood.
What you say can't hurt me now.
'Cause chances are I've already pointed it out.
Join the crowd that's waiting for me to fall.
Or maybe jump instead;
Because I'm not that tall.
Remind me what sunshine's like,
Because its been a pouring since May.
And if you please,
Take me out of my misery;
So you don't have to see.
That I can't take the clouds anymore.
But can you blame me?
