Broken Record
Empty faces at empty doors
 Stare out at me
 As if I can’t see
 Empty faces with empty hearts
 Try and make it better
 But they can’t
 They can’t even start
 I’m walking alone
 For one more day
 Just
Smile and put on a happy face
I am called by every name
 No one
 Uses words
 But their faces say

And the faces will blur but the pain won’t fade
 And I
Try and hang on for one more day
I’m left spinning like a broken record
 You’ll never know
 That I’m about to break

I can still feel in my glass heart
Even though you ripped it apart
Keep my head up and smile
 If I push it away
It’ll go away for a while

 Straight on smile
 With a straight on gaze
Make sure they can’ t see
 What I hide everyday
If I hide it will it go away?
 Or is already to late?

 And the days will blur
 But the pain won’t fade
 And I
Gotta hang on for one more day
I’m repeating like a broken record
 You’ll never know
How long it takes to break

 The record plays
But it can’t make a sound
 Waiting for someone to listen
 They hear the noise
 But they won’t turn around
 If they wait to long
 I’ll be played out

 And the faces have blurred
But the pain’s here to stay
 And I
Know that life takes so much strength
 But the record’s still playin’
 You never know
 Who’s about to break
