The author's comments:
My inspiration for this song was inspired by a woman I met volunteering at a nursing home. Her name was Minerva, but everyone called her Minnie, and she loved Minnie Mouse. In a time of need I met her. She had previously experienced breast cancer and survived. She was only in her late 40's when I met her, and due to infection, she had both legs amputated. She also had about 6 fingers amputated from infections. She had hearing aids and an oxygen tank. She was in and out of the hospital. She had a catheter and kidney transplants. This woman was just absolutely amazing. During our short time knowing each other, we developed a strong connection. Not too long after her 50th birthday, she passed away in her sleep. She lived way above the time she was expected to. She left a lasting impression on me, because she loved her life and worshipped God up and down. When she praised him, she held her hands to the sky with her hands open even though she may have been embarrassed due to amputated fingers. This woman gave me so much confidence and hope. I felt it respectful to write something nice for her. She was the first close person I lost in my life, and I still miss her.

beautiful. I want to say that again because i know what you went through with this. my guitar teacher passed away in january of this year and he was a best friend and father figure to me. he helped me find myself and believe in myself. and he passed away from leukemia in january, as previously stated. I am attempting to write him a song and it is going poorly. I wish i had your talent in this area. 55555555555555555/5
