Apocalypse
I remember how the raindrops disappeared.
How the ice melted. How the flames seared.
I heard the overwhelming sirens of sleep.
Dragging me down to the same machines.
A blank screen, a dreary simple canvas.
Splash on the shades of hatred, splash onto Hell.
It's so obvious that the words are wasted.
The clock goes on, but the hands are unmoving.
So just for this once, take my hand.
Draw the horizon, in the sand.
The chains I see, God is slowly sinking the ships.
Sing with me through this apocalypse.
I don't even know if you are there.
So let's pretend that the worlds are isolated.
Just sinking into the gates to Wonderland.
Over and over again.
Gaining entry through the bridges, the fences and birds.
It's so obvious that the words are wasted.
The clock goes on, but the hands are unmoving.
So just for this once, take my hand.
Draw the horizon, in the sand.
The chains I see, God is slowly sinking the ships.
Sing with me through this apocalypse.
