The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone suffer the way they do.

She was looking for adventure

He was looking for a place to lay his head

Together they brought out each other's dreams

Together they saw red

Red, the color of the rose he gave her

Red, the vision of a life together

Red, the passion in each other's eyes

Red, the stinging of those cursed lies

She wanted to live life free and full of memories

He wanted a life of securities

They loved the thought of each other

Hearts brimming with emotions for one another

Tangled in the sheets in bed

Together they saw red

Red, the color of her lips on his

Red, the sound of their music

Red, the feeling of hearts pounding

Red, the breaking of those pounding hearts

She saw her fantasies being crushed

He saw his dreams, all messed up

They knew then they couldn't be

They both saw each other's misery

One day it was great, the next an empty bed

The day neither saw red

Red, the sight of dreams on the horizon

Red, the joy of spirits rising

Red, oh, days gone forever

Red, a color they'll miss forever

She met her adventure

In the form of life and travel

He met his place to lay his head

In the form of love unraveled

Together they saw red

Now, they once again see red

Red, the feeling of aspirations

Red, the joy of life's temptations

Red, the color of dreams come true

Red, a color old but new
