I've tried, I've tried, I've tried,

to write something nice, nice, nice,

about my life, my life, my life,

it get's hard at times, times times.

when you're all alone,

in your head,

i'm not repeating what my demons said.

they made me do,

awful things,

anytime and anyplace.

this is me,

this is how,

I got pulled down.

they took me,

shook me,

buried me alive.

what's the point of even putting up a fight?

this is just my life,

it happens everynight.

running from the night again,

the tiredness in my eyes rolls in.

i tell you all that i'm okay,

but how do i come off as okay?

I know, I know, I know

this isnt usually how I flow, I flow I flow.

but i gotta let you know, you know, I know

how it feels inside.

when you're all alone,

in your head,

im not repeating what my demons said.

they made me do,

awful things,

anytime and anyplace.

this is me,

this is how,

I got pulled down.

they took me shook me buried me alive,

what's the point of even putting up a fight?

i'm used to it being my life,

it happens everynight.

running from the night again,

the tiredness in my eyes rolls in.

I tell you all that im okay,

but how do i come off as okay?

i am okay,

i am okay,

i am okay.

i took them,

shook them,

buried them alive.

they put up a fight.

i grabbed them,

smashed them,

they're sleep deprived.

this is my life.

im not running from the night anymore,

the tiredness exists no more.

i tell you all that im okay,

cause i am finally okay.

The author's comments:

This was one of the first real songs I have written that I actually memorized and that I can remember right off the top of my head. Being honest, I can not really relate a whole lot to this song, but I wanted to write it so other people could connect with it. Although I don't know how people going through hard times are feeling, I wanted to come up with a way to let them know that it is okay and that you will get through it. I tried to write it in a point of view of a boy or girl or whoever it may be, that is really going through a tough time. Then I made it seem as if they overcame their feelings and emotions and finally wasnt lying to themselves anymore, and finally felt okay. I've seen situations like this in movies, songs, and books, so I really wanted to write my own peice kind of like that.
