Something that Happened
  Today,
  Starting fresh and clean,
  Said hey,
  You seem cool, I mean,
You seem like a nice pal,
  See him walk away smiling,
  Come across one fine gal,
  See her leave without bristling,
You go home and lose the smile,
  You go to the bathroom,
Rub your wrists and try drowning meanwhile,
She was in the other room,
She runs in and pulls you away,
  Throws all your blades away,
  She kisses you to say,
I love you honey, all day, every day,
Tears burst as you start to see,
Someone cares and will never give up,
She lays in the bed where emptiness use to be,
You smile all night and she’s there when woken up,
Bacon and eggs on a plate,
  She’s the best, she’s great,
One day she comes with results so positive

This poem is devoted to a story I wrote many years ago, and I never had it published due to it never being completed, I hope you all enjoy.
