Stilted Confessions:
I don't want to taint your life,
With shadows that I've seen.
Don't want my tears to scar,
Places you have never been.
.
.
You give my words meaning,
When you keep them inside.
What good are expressions,
If they're created just to hide?
.
.
I've always feared obviation,
Even as I wished for my end;
Maybe you'll see, maybe not,
Would it be wrong if I pretend?
.
.
You see stanzas, unfinished,
Pieces of myself, yet unwhole;
Do you see the story in fiction,
In the truth of lies that I stole?
.
.
I've been with a broken heart,
Since first breath I had taken;
Do you think it's only a lover,
Who can leave you forsaken?
.
.
And working out these beats,
I now question my questions.
Guess, I'm another student,
Afraid of forgetting her lessons.
