Still More to See
Went to New Zealand to try out some hikes,
Just me and my sister, and Pip, our car.
Free to wander without small sibling tikes,
We drove where we liked, either near or far.
We geeked out about the Lord of the Rings,
Visited Hobbiton, climbed Edoras,
Posed for pictures with Gollum, pulled out Sting,
Or just leapt from rocks as if Legolas.
We drank many coffees, and once, an ale;
We ate fish ‘n’ chips, and tasted meat pies.
To mountains and ocean followed a trail,
Hiked three times a day, we wore out our thighs.
Yet with all that we saw, still more to see;
I’ll be back New Zealand, look out for me.
