Masks of Joy

I put a smile on my face
and love in my heart
Like the hope I might feel
wont break me apart
Like the joy I now feel
wont end in my pain
Like the love i once felt
wont end in vain
I push through the pain
Like it will go away
Although i really know
my demons have come to play
I put on my mask
though its ready to break
Just waiting for them to see
all i am is a fake
i cheer others on
though its pain inside
I say im okay
though I know I lied
You see my joy
and try to take it away
Like my love wasnt enough
when i needed you to stay
