Veiled Bonds

In corridors where shadows play, I tread,
Beneath a guise, my silent sorrows shed.
Their laughter, sharp, yet I embrace each thorn,
With smiles that mask the heart within, forlorn.

Each day, a stage where false scenes unfold,
With actors feigning bonds that hold no gold.
Yet 'neath this masquerade of jest and jeer,
Lies a yearning for a dawn sincere.

Dreams of a realm where kindness reigns,
Free from the chains of hidden pains.
A world where every soul's embrace
Reflects the truth behind the face.

In silent strength, I bear the scars,
Yearning for skies beyond these bars.
