Magnum Opus
The man who loves most is the loneliest of all
From what can a broken-heart leap, yet never fall?
What can one give, and get nothing from?
A dead man knows;
The genius is dumb
As a pauper’s nose can sniff out a crumb,
The first man knows that his time is done
My questions are simple:
How did the second man die?
Who is the first, and who am I?
You may know the answers;
The chance is not high
But one thing’s for certain:
You’ll never know why
