her to me; me to them
When do you start to grow up?
When will I stop seeing you and every time I look
I can only see my own face reflected back in yours?
I made bad decisions and you made good decisions
and we can never undo that but I can watch what you become.
You’re so selfish, when do you start to grow up?
And realize the world around you was not made for you
But mine was. And I’m a rock and you’re the star
and your heat destroys me It destroys me.
I feel that I can never get too close. But you shine
brighter than I ever shone. Than I ever will.
I don’t want you to grow up. I never will.
But you already did and now all I have is a mirror
to remind me of who I couldn’t be.
