You hear them calling
yet you refuse to respond.
They’re always crawling
down in the beyond.
Always they’re following,
always they’re conspiring.
In your pain they’re constantly wallowing,
Watching, waiting, for you to begin tiring.
Constantly stalking,
and always behind you.
Always gawking,
and whispering things that are untrue.
Always they’ll be there
shooting you their sharpest glare.
