Growing Seed
There was a time when I pondered
On the faults of man on earth
Wars and hatred, hunger and strife
Until old age from birth
But as I grew older still
I slowly came to realize
That I could be dwelling on the bad
Or focus on the pleasures of life
You only live life once
So why try to think it through?
Go out and have some fun
Don’t care what they think of you
Wars will not stop
And death will watch you grow older
But why stop and try to take
All the world’s worries upon your shoulder?
Like a rollercoaster ride
We’re heading downhill fast
But there will be loops and upside-down turns
So try to make it all last
Think about the little things
What matters most in heaven
How God’s creations from flower to tree
Are the world’s greatest presents
I no longer ponder over the bad in life
And I pass through every dark rift
For diamond tears will be shed
But life is God’s greatest gift
I feel so liberated now
That I truly see
That the whole wide world is out there
Waiting just for me
Just like a tree growing
From a tiny little seed
Not knowing what will come next
And where its life will lead
