- What Matters
Perfect is not me.
It’s when we sat in middle of a bench,
It was the greatest moments of our time,
Now we’re on opposite sides of the trench.
Shared memories which are now only mine.
He would not stay for me-makes me wonder,
But he would stay for you. I met his gaze,
He held my hand, and my heart like thunder.
I went on with this year about my ways.
Respiratory system was erratic,
His growing tree, to me, was contagious,
We lost our signal due to the static.
This one year has felt so outrageous.
The strange logic of our uneven line.
Forever imprinted, you’re on my mind.
