Love Song
Love is like a song escaping my mind
A haunting melody playing like background noise
I know the lyrics they’re just hard to find
A child looking for forgotten toys
The melody plays like it’s trying to tease
A voice saying that I could have it all
Then it pushes me to my knees
And I’m left staring up at a blank wall
The answers are never quite what they seem
They’re always here but never something I’ve had
Making this experience like a dream
That I can’t wake up from and is both good and bad
It will play on till the words come to me
Finding that in love is something I can’t be
