Reopening Wound
A child of divorce, that is what I am
 Wounded by lies and infidelity
Most of which have hardened into mere scabs
Still there’s one that keeps on reopening
My four parents are the loves of my life
My stepmother and father most truly
Then, “cheat, cheat,” the little birdie come cries
The wound then dilates larger anewly
With every lie and cheat comes chaos
That lashes out severely at my wound
For themselves they endlessly double cross
Shamefully I’d sometimes wish they’d end soon

Divorce then and now pulls on my heartstrings

A survivor, but still I am drowning
