Siz Forevers
Young, fragile friend with imposing laughter
How much time have I forsaken to you?
Six forevers and an hour after
Flinching each time a Southerly wind blew
We read poetry until the Sunset
Displayed our naked fears on your small bed
We were insecure wrecks before we met
Souls pulling each other back from the dead
But my need was so much greater than yours
The depths I’d fallen to only God knows
You’ve always run alone, to distant shores
Chasing that damn wind wherever it blows
When it turned to the North, you followed suit
Cutting the Romance, but leaving the root
